REPRESENTATIVE LEAGUE MATCH Interesting football Should be seen in to-day’s fixtures in Christchurch, For followers of the League code there will be the representative rriatch at English Park betwveen Canterbury and the West Coast for the Northern Union Cup. The Rugby match on the Lancaster Park oval will be between Christchurch arid Old Boys, always keen rivals; and in the Association code there will be two Chatham Cup matches. . ~ Both teams in the League match are strong ones, and their meeting should provide a good display of the code.,. The Rugby, match between, Old Boys arid Christchurch will be the chief fixture for the Rugby Union's annual charity day, and as Christchurch are anxious to avenge their first-round defeat by Old Boys, the football in this match also should be keen.
