The congress of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of the British Empire to be held at Wellington in October, under the presidency of Viscount Elibank, will be opened by the GovernorGeneral (Lord Galway), who will also be the honorary president. He will give an evening reception at Government House on October 1 to the delegates and the ladies accompanying them. There will be a State luncheon cn October 2. The Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage), the Minister for Industries and Commerce (the Hon. D. G. Sullivan), the Minister for Customs (the Hon. W. Nash), the Minister for Agriculture (the Hon. W. Lee Mart‘n), his Majesty’s Trade Commissioner, and the Canadian Trade Commissioner will be honorary delegates. An advance delegate will be Sir Thomas Wilford, who is chairman of the council of the Empire Federation. The delegates frrm the New Zealand Associated Chambers of Commerce will be Messrs Norton Francis (Christchurch), C. G. McCaul (Wellington), A. H. Allen (Dunedin), and A. M. Seaman (Auckland). Delegates will also be present from the branches.
