BROADCASTING ADVISORY COMMITTEE
TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS. Sir,—Now that the New Zealand Broadcasting Board is being replaced by an advisory committee it would be interesting to know what plans the Government has for choosing those
who will form this committee. It is to be hoped that the Government will advertise and thus secure the pick of experts in important lines such as entertainment, publicity, and radio technique. It is to be hoped also that appointments on this committee will not be given as political plums. After all, the listeners are doing the paying, and should at least have the opportunity of applying for positions on this new committee. It is to be hoped that the present Government takes this point of view, and that it does the job properly.— Yours, tc., LISTENER. June 16, ir.ii-.
