ANZAC STAMPS
SALES CLOSE ON SATURDAY The Anzac stamps, sold to provide a fund for necessitous returned soldiers and their dependents, will be withdrawn from sale on Saturday. The stamps have been on sale since April 27, but sales in Christchurch have been considerably lower than in the other three main centres, and the local committee intends to make a special effort on Friday. This day will be regarded as Anzac stamp day. All citizens are asked to purchase at least one stamp. Although sales will close on Saturday, the stamps may be used after that date. They are available in two prices, one penny and twopence.
