SHADOWS IN THE MIST
TO THE EDITOR Ot THE PBK3B, Sir,—About 10 or 12 years ago, I saw the shadow of myself thrown on a bank of clouds, while tramping from Mount Pleasant to Dyer’s Pass along the Summit track. It had the usual halo or rainbow round it. I imagine this would be a fairly common sight, especially in the winter time, when the sea fog is rolling along the Port Hills from the east, in banks of cloud, but not when the fog is 'travelling in a continuous mass, of course, because then the sun could not shine on the individual to throw a shadow. —Yours, etC " OLD TRAMPER.
