NO SPECTATORS ON THE SIDELINE LANCASTER PARK BOARD’S DECISION The action of the grounds committee in refusing to allow spectators on the west side-line of the hockey ground on Lancaster Park was endorsed at a meeting of the Lancaster Park Board of Control last night. Mr J. K. Moloney presided. The subject was introduced in a letter from the Canterbury Hockey Association, saying that spectators had been ordered off the sideline during recent matches. It was stated that the grounds committee, to minimise danger, had given instructions to allow no spectators on the side-line. The same rule had applied when Rugby was played there.
