NEW AERODROME WORK TO BEGIN SOON [THE PRESS Special Service.] N NELSON, June 111 The Minister for Public Works (tU, Hon. R. Semple) was interviewed fag the chairman of the Nelson Harbont Board (Mr A. Gould) and Mr W. <3 Harley, a member of the board, abota the proposed aerodrome at the Quad an tine Reserve site, and a report oa the interview was given to a meeting of the Harbour Board by the chain man. Mr Gould said that the Ministq agreed to authorise the taking over oa the ground as soon as the notice coubj , be gazetted. The Minister also autbj orised that the work on Quarantine Reserve be begun at an early dafry The work would be done by the moaj modern machines and completed il the earliest possible time. The Minister expressed to the depot tation his conviction that Ned Zealand would have a very rapid do velqpment of her air traffic within thg next few years, and said that thi Government was doing all that it in providing for the future. Gould), as a representative of the Progress League, asked tha Minister for Public Works about tha latest position of the Nelson railway, and was informed that officers were covering the ground and making investigations, and all that was possible was being done. Children’s Health Camp The establishment of a permanent children’s health camp site at Tahuna beach was suggested at the annual meeting of the Nelson Health Camp Association, and it was decided to make representations to the city council for the setting aside of a suitable area.
