BRITISH EXCHEQUER RETURNS
SLIGHT REVENUE DECREASES isainsa official vviuelbss.) RUGBY, June 9. The Exchequer returns show that total ordinary revenue, excluding self-balancing Items, amounts to £ 93,907,203, compared with £ 100,370,834 on the corresponding date last year. The yield from surtax, stamps, customs, and from several minor items is greater than for the same period of the last financial year, but receipts from income tax and estate duties are less.
However, the principal difference in x'evenue to date between the prerent and last financial years is under the heading “miscellaneous receipts,” which is more than £2,500,000 less so far this year. The total of ordinary expenditure, exclusive of self-balancing items, is £154,988,170, compared with £ 154,093,928 on the corresponding date of 1935.
