ANNUAL ELECTION OF OFFICERS There was a good attendance of members of the Courtenay Agricultural and Pastoral Association at the annual meeting. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £2O. The election of officials resulted as follows: —Patron, Mr W. J. Jenkins; president, Mr J, D. Henderson; vice* presidents, Mr H. E. Cross (senior), Mr J. D. Penney (junior); treasurer, Mr F. Westaway; auditors, Messrs G. T. Robertson and R. S. Roper; secretary, Mr R. W. McMeekan; general committee, Messrs A. Anderson, R. J. Bell, M. V. Davis, J. D. Gallagher. J. P. Gilmour, R. Henderson. F. W. Jarman, F. Johnson, A. Manson, J. S. Robertson, C. O. Redfern, J. Rudd, W. L. Stott, S. Syzne, G. R. Seaton. D. J. Smith, F. G. Sowden. J, H. Selby. A. D. Thompson, T. Vaughan, R. J, Westaway, R. M. Wilson, Captain P. A. Turner, and Major G. Hutton. The following were appointed as re* presentatives to the Malvern Root and flock competitions:—Messrs C. C. Jarman, C. O. Redfern, G. R. Bedford, and J. D. Henderson. The date of the annual show was fixed for Saturday, November 21. Two new members were elected.
