LINWOOD BRANCH
’ Mrs Mackie presided at the monthly meeting of the Linwood branch of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union, which was held in the Baptist schoolroom. Miss Turner, a visitor from the Yorkshire Union, was welcomed. Mr Mackie gave an address on Abyssinia, and the scientific fact was read by Mrs Grigg. A vote of sympathy was passed with Mrs Woods in the death of her sister and borther.
