RIFLE SHOOTING
CANTERBURY COLLEGE CLUB There is some likelihood of the Canterbury College Defence Rifle Club extending its activities to the Australian and New Zealand universities’ contest for the Albert trophy. Following a proposal that a team of eight college representatives should compete for this trophy, the club will hold its first practice at the Redcliffs range to-morrow. Though officials of the club are unwilling to disclose details of their intentions, it is understood that if the standard of marksmanship reached to-morrow is- sufficiently high, the proposal will be considered further. The success with which the Canterbury College team met in the Haslam Shield contest at Easter this year is a strong reason for believing that the desired standard will be attained.
