EXCURSION TO WESTLAND
The Corsair Club’s mid-winter excursion to Greymouth and Hokitika will leave Christchurch at 6 Am. on Tuesday, June 23 (King’s Birthday), and will pick up at the main stations en route, setting down passengers at Moana, Stillwater, Wallsend, and Kumara. The Southern Alps will be seen at their best, and with an everchanging view of rivers, mountains,' lakes, gorges, beautiful bush, and the Tasman Sea. this trip is considered the most varied and wonderful rail journey in New Zealand. Motor trips from Hokitika will be available to the Rimu dredge and to Lake Kanieri. The train will leave Hokitika at 5 p.m„ and Greymouth at 7.30 p.m. on the homeward journey.
