ST. DAVID'S ANGLICAN CHURCH
PRESENTATION TO MR L. R
ARNOLD
On Sunday evening the service at St. David's Anglican Church was conducted by members of the young men's Bible class. Mr L. R. Arnold, who was in charge, read the sermon; the lessons were read by Messrs W. Arnold and A. Stanbury, the offertory was taken by Mr J. Teague, and Mr R Blick presided at the organ. After the service, the congregation adjourned to the parish hall to say good-bye to Mr L. R. Arnold, who is leaving to take up business in Australia. Mr Arnold has been a prominent church worker, being secretary of the envelope system of contributing, and leader and founder of the young men's Bible class in St. David's Church.
* Canon H. 0. T. Hanby, on behalf of the congregation, handed Mr Arnold a pair of gloves and a fountain-pen and wished hirn prosperity in his undertaking. Other speakers who eulogised the work of Mr Arnold in the church were Messrs A. Blick, W. G. Brown, A. Pengelly, and J. Halligan. In replying, Mr Arnold thanked those who had co-operated with him in his work, and expressed the wish that the congregation, would assist by jail available means the Bible class I movement in Belfast
