RESIGNATIONS ACCEPTED
GREY HOSPITAL DISPUTE NEW MATRON AND SISTERS TO BE APPOINTED (SPECIAL TO THX PBZS3.) GREYMOUTH, March 10. That the medical superintendent, Dr. J. W. Bridgman, be asked to accept three months' pay in lieu of service, having previously tendered his resignation to take effect in three months, and that applications be called for the position at the same salary as at present, was the decision made at a meeting of the Grey Hospital Board this evening. Mr J. Sneaton, acting-chairman, presided. , The acting-chairman and the chairman of the hospital committee (Mr A. Masley) were empowered to appoint a locum tenens. The resignations of the six sisters were accepted, and it was left to the acting-matron to fill the vacancies. Applications are to be called for the position of matron at the same salary as previously. The discussion which preceded the decisions was taken in committee.
