HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY
INSTRUCTION LECTURE
During the season the committee of the Canterbury Horticultural Society has arranged a series of monthly instructional lectures and floral demonstrations, and judging by the excellent attendances, they have been much appreciated by flower-lovers in Christchurch. The lecture to-morrow evening, in the Canterbury Automobile Association's rooms, will be given by Mr H. McD. Vincent, who has just returned from a visit to the Homeland. His. subject, "Gardens in England and "Wales," should prove to be of deep interest. Two members of the ladies' committee of the society will stage during the evening an instructive demonstration of the various forms of decorative floral work, with special reference to the particular items featured in the society's show schedules. These lectures are free to all. those interested being invited to attend.
