SOUTHBRIDGE POST OFFICE
TO TOT BDITOS 07 tBI FHKS3. Sir,—lt has been my wish for a long while now to point out to the public something which has been overlooked by the former Government. This "something" is the so-called Southbridge Poat Office. This office has been in Southbridge for many long years now and is merely one room on the end of the railway station. Surely Southbridge is big enough to have a well-built and proper post office separate from the railway buildings, instead of a single room, which must, in my opinion, greatly hamper the staff. If the Prime Minister (Mr M. J. Savage) intends to put more people into employment, why not build a new post office at Southbridge, with a full staff of Post and Telegraph officers instead of one post and telegraph officer and two railway officers, whx> comprise the staff at present I sincerely hope this letter comes under the notice of' the PostmasterGeneral (Mr Jones) and the Prime Minister, so that they will try to improve the government service by building a new post office at Southbridge.—Yours, etc., LETTER BOX. Southbridge, March 9, 1036.
