A matter for satisfaction was that the club was doubly represented in the New Zealand team which toured Great Britain. The performance of the senior team was quite good, said Dr. Bellringer, although it was -not up to the standard which it should have been. "The revenue of the association was again not sufficient to meet the working expenses last season, mainly owing to the lack of support for the Otago and Wellington representative matches and insufficient revenue from English Park during the summer, and it is regretted that repayments of £SO a year under the second mortgage to the New Zealand Football Association have had to be postponed for the season,"" states the thirty-second annual report of the Canterbury Football Association which will be presented to the annual meeting at 7.30 to-night. ;. The gross revenue from English Park had shown an improvement but at present was barely sufficient to meet the standing charges on the park and left nothing for upkeep. The prospects for increased revenue from the pane during 1936 were considered much brighter. Negotiations had been enteral into for the sale of a half share of the park on the conditions that the association had the use of the par* first from April 1 to September 30 each year, and the purchasing body to have a similar claim for the other half-yean The association and the purchasing body would have equal representation on the board of trustees which would be set -up. , ■ • The play during the season had been of a high standard and great progress had been made in all the grades. Fortysix teams had entered altogether m the grade games. Interprovincial matches had been played during the year against Otago and Wellington, but Auckland had not been able to .arrange a date for the Football Association's trophy. Other important trophy games had been played, and" Canterbury had had a fair measure of success.
