ROGUE AND VAGABOND Cecilia Olds (Mr J. K. DRUNKENNEjSS On charges of d£»keiuieig an *<g a breach of a prohibition order.Eric Thompson was sentenced to three, months' imprisonment on the first charge and. convicted and discharged on the second. TRAFFIC BREACHES The following were prosecuted by the Christchurch City Council for breaches of the traffic regulations, and were fined and ordered to pay costs: Parking, over time limit—Donald W. Bain 10s; John A. Stevenson, 20s. Exceeding the speed limit—Eric Beaven, £3; Patrick Michael Keenan, £3; Stanley Baylis, driver's license suspended for one month. Driving in.a dangerous mannerRobert A. Wilson, los. Unlicensed heavy traffic vehicle— James Aldridge, 10s;> George Clifford 1 Marshall, £3. ■ '..-».« Failing to give way to traffic from [ the right—Roy James Dyer, £3. ; No warning device— Stanley, Baylis, 10s. „ - Failing to signal—Gharles J, Brown, costs only. Parking within 20 feet of an intersection—Leslie J. Lohrey (Mr F. W. Johnston), 10s. Exceeding speed limit over an intersection—Allan Smith, £3. No driver's license—Allan Smith, ss. On a charge of exceeding the speed limit, brought by the Main Highways Board, Harry Williams was fined £3 and ordered to pay costs. British Pavements, Ltd., charged with using a motor-lorry heavier than the maximum licensed to use the road, and with overloading the lorry, were fined 20s and ordered to pay costs on each charge.
