WELLINGTON, March 8. ; High scores were plentiful in the first two matches of the championship belt series, which were fired at the national rifle meeting at Trentham yesterday morning. These were one-range matches each at 300 yards, and following them J. E. Farley (Wanganffi) a“d.R- C. (Auckland) at present lead for the King s Prize, each with an aggregate score of 97.
