BROADCASTING NOTES

TO THB BDITOB OF THE PRESS, Sir,—l was surprised and amused when I read in your paper a letter condemning the “Japanese Houseboy.” In reply, I would like to say that your correspondent, Mr Wilkinson, has a poor sense of humour, and evidently does not know the old proverb, “A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest;'men.” It must be remembered that the programmes submitted by the YA stations are for the general public, and if Mr Wilkinson does not like it he can tune in elsewhere. However, I think your correspondent has little to do when he tries to voice public opinion.—Yours, etC “ G. BRISTOWE. March 8. 1936.
