RICCARTON MEETING FLYING SAND RUNS WELL On Saturday the New Zealand Whippet Racing Club held a meeting at Bushey Park, Riccarton, when there was a good attendance. The racing was well contested, the most successful competitor being Mr R. R. Harper’s Flying Sand, who won the Waiwetu hurdles In convincing style and/ was only Just beaten In the Matal Handlcap. The following were the results:— HARAKEKE IMPROVERS’ FLAT HAN- / DICAP. Two hundred yards. First Heat—Khamsin (14yds) 1, Thunderbolt (14yds) 2. Bingen Star (14yds) 3.
