NORTH BEACH SURF CLUB
♦- —- . In the North Beach Hall on Saturday evening, the North Beach Surf Club entertained at a complimentary- dance Messrs T. Newell, Allan Dalton, and Gs* McEllroy, members of the club, who were selected In the Canterbury representative team for the championship competitions held at Dunedin recently. There was a large attendance, and an enjoyable evening was spent. The music was played by Percy Butler and his Serenaders, and extras by Mr Trevor Lowry, Mr L. R, Moore was master of ceremonies. Amongst those present were Mrs E. L. Smith (Mayoress of New Brighton), Mes-* dames C. C. Kemp, T. Joseph, R. Campbell, 3V- Newton, L. R. Moore, N. W. Robinson, E. Aspey, Misses M. Snow, N. Seay, Mavis , Greenwood, Muriel Hulme. Noel Mulrson, Audrey Taylor, Marjorie Carvllle, Noellne Prettejohns, Nola Wyatt, Jean Parker, Rons Twlneham, Netta Sward, Patricia Boyland, Lola Johnstone, Ettle Crawford, Nance Kidston, Nettle Inkster, Doris O’Connor, Olive McCreer, Ellar Mlnnotte, Doris Hore, Beatrice McDowell, Cushla Redlngton, Joy Purchass, Thelma Parsons, A. Ford, Edqa Snow, Norma Clegg, Freda Messervy, Joan Williams, Edna Talbot, Doris Downing, Joan - Suckling, . Mona Stevens, Noellne Marriott, S. Marriott, M. Doak, and Enid Yordth.
