At Si Mary's Church, - Merivalef on Saturday afternoon,, the marriage took place of Miss Rewa Campbell, only daughter of Mr Colin Campbell, of Ashburton, and the late Mrs Campbell; and Mr Cart* Sjtraubel, only son of Mr and Mrs M. Straubel, of Waotu, Waikato, and a member of the literary staff of "The Press." The. ceremony was performed' by the Rev. A. K. Warren, Mr A. Worsley was organist, and Mr S. V. Glasgow was best man. The bride; who was given jaway by her father, wore a simply-cut frock of vellum-tinted needle-run lace mounted on satin. The high neckline was slightly cowled, and the sleeves were long and tight-fitting. The skirt, slashed in front, was fully flared from the knee-line to form a train, and edged with a tiny pleating ■• of toning georgette, and the belt of folded lace was finished in front with a diamante buckle. Her veil of double cut tulle, worn over her face as the bride entered the church, was arranged with a pleating of tulle finished at each side of the head with a cluster of orange blossom and fell in graceful folds over the train of her dress. Her bouquet was of cream begonias, irises and bouvardia.

Miss Marjory Moody, of Timaru, was bridesmaid. She wore a frock.of.delphinium blue, corded georgette mounted on satin. The bride was attended by one bridesmaid, Miss Ruth Allard, .who wore a frock of turquoise blue pericord, made with epaulettes held'with chromium clips, pointed basque pleated in front and joined with fiat chromium chain, and a flowing/ slightly trained skirt. She carried a bouquet'of flame coloured gladioias and begonias, and similar flowers toning to lighter shades formed her halo head-dress.

Mr Jack Poison was best man, and Mr A. B. Thomson acted as jisher. A reception was held at the Hotel Federal, where the in shades of blue and flame, matched the bridesmaid's colour scheme.
