SELECTION FOR TE3-CLUB COMPETi The teams to represent the New Bright ton Surf Bathing and Idfe-Saving Club at the inter-club surf competitions to be held at South New Brighton on March 1, have been selected an follows;** Sumner Cup (four-man team alarm event), two teams—A. T. IT. Stokes, R. MeKensie. M. Buttertck. and J. Cocks; N. Herrlck, C. MoKemUe, 1. Ansley, and R. V. Cooper, ',. Single-handed Rescue—R. McKenzie and A. V 7 V. "Stokes, Junior Bisman and A. 1 Cocks. Newburgh Shield, two teams—C. Clif* (support), H. Horsfall (belt), J. McPhall (deep line), R. Skinner (shallow line), X>. Parsonson (middle line), and R. Carson (reel); N. Stokes (support), A. Ansley and D. Cocks (to contest, belt and shallow line), C. Q. £van(( (deep line), 18. Cox (middle line), and W. Guileford (reel). Patients. J. Campbell and F. W. Scales. A practice for members competing" in the Newburgh Shield will be held on Tueiday evening, at 7 o'clock sharp.

Moore, convener of the social committee, reported on the con* tinued success of the summer- dances. Arrangements,,were also in hand for a special club dance on Easter Monday. The secretary's action in sending a telegram congratulating L. Newell on his success at the New Zealand swimming championships' in Duhedin, was endorsed. . , It was decided to hold a complimentary dance on Saturday for the three club members who took part in the. swimming and.surf, life-saving championships at Dunedin.
