The New Zealand surf life-saving championships Were held yesterday and today in warm, sunny , weather. Yesterday there was a stiff breeze, a choppy surf, and a westerly rip, but to-day conditions were ideal. Results of the championship events were:— Four-man Alarm—Lyall Bay B 1, Oreti A 2, Maranui 3. Beltman's . Championship—A. T. Dalton (North Beach);' lmin 2B 2-ssec. 1; D. H. Symes (Taylor's Mistake), lmin 31 2-ssec, 2; P. E. Mathieson (St. Clair), lmin S7sec, 3. Nelson Shield—Lyall Bay A (Mollier, patient, Pelham belt) 1, Maranui (Hoy patient, Ballard belt) 2, St. Clair A 3. Henry Memorial—St. Clair 1, Maranui 2.
