LONDON. February 21,
The Associated Press learns that the Rugby League is hopeful of forming a colonial club in London to compete in League competitions next season. Nepia, Harrison, McDonald, Smith, and Holder would be the nucleus. Most probably leading players will be approached in Australia and New Zealand, including several recent All Blacks.
ACTION AGAINST BETTING POOLS
LONDON, February 21,
It is unofficially' stated that to circumvent betting pools the Football League has decided to cancel all fixtures after this week-end, only announcing the fixtures on the Thursday before Saturday's matches. The Scottish League is not following suit this season.
