A vivid flash of lightning during an intense electrical storm over the Newcastle district . this afternoon struck a relief worker dead and injured two others, one seriously. The victims were:-r-Messrs Jack Hogan (dead), J. S. Duffrey (severe shock), and R. Vale (severe shock). Mr Duffrey was admitted to hospital for urgent treatment. The men were standing near a picket fence when the lightning struck right among them, During a. sudden storm in Sydney this afternoon lightning damaged a building in Waterloo suburb.
