TRUMP WHIST PARTY
To honour Miss Gladys Dale and Mr W. Angus, whose marriage will take place to-day, an enjoyable variety evening party was given by Mrs Francis Curtis and Miss Doreen Bradley, at their home, "Knaresborough" Kilmore street Prizes were won by Miss Doris Blyth and Mr George Frizzell. Amongst those present were Mr and Mrs Edwin Scott, Mr and Mrs Francis Curtis, Mesdames F. Orchard, H. Blyth, Muir, Misses L. Muir, Gladys Dale, Doreen Bradley, Dorothy Wahlers (Wellington), Bertha and Jean Frizzell, Doris Blyth, Messrs W. Angus, George Frizzell, and Leslie Lindley.
DANCES ARRANGED
A special old-time dance will be held this evening at the Alexandra Hall, when Jackson’s full band will supply the music. The attractions will include: Leap year waltz contest two Monte Carlos, £3 cash Monte Carlo, streamers, and spotlight dances. Old and new dances will be included on the programme at the dance to be held this evening at the Caledonian Hall, under the auspices of the Caledonian Select Assembly. The attractions offered include four, cash miniature Monte Carlos and . a lucky spot dance. Bradford Brothers’ augmented orchestra will play the dance ihusib, . • ■ . Special attractions are offered at tne select old-time dance to, be held at , the Caledonian Hall oh Monday evening. The Evans-Campbell band will provide the dance music.
