MEETING OF CHRISTCHURCH BRANCH
Mr L. A. Efford presided over the monthly meeting of the Christchurch branch of the No More War Movement held at IBG Cashel street on Wednesday evening. It was. decided to Sort the-Plople's Mandate to Govemments” organised by the Womens International tor Peace ; and Freedom. It was stated that this petition, Organised on a world-wide scale, was to be presented to tiie League of Nations. It was hoped, that million signatures would be obtained. A resolution urging the Government to support the petition, in the .council and the assembly of the league was carried unanimously. A committee to arrange Sunday night meetings for the discussion, of world events was set up, with power to act
