ADDRESS BY ADMIRAL HARPER
THE NAVY AS A PEACE MACHINE
The work of the Navy League as a peace machine was explained to an audience of about 400 students and members of the staff of Rangi-ruru School yesterday by Rear-Admiral J. E. T. Harper, an official lecturer from the Navy League, London. . Admiral Harper also stressed that the very existence of every, portion of the British Empire in time of war depended on the navy’s ability to protect trade routes. This afternoon he will address the boys of St. Andrew’s College and tonight he will speak to the students at Christ’s College.
