ISOLATION POLICY URGED
MR F. W. DOIUGE'3 VIEWS SYDNEY, May 4. Welcomed back to Cootamundra, his native town, Mi- F. W. Doidge, formerly a director of Lord Beaverbrook's newspapers, who is later going to New Zealand, declared that Great Britain, under the Locarno Treaty, was pledged to participate in the next European war, and that war was imminent. For this reason the Dominion representatives now in London would be faced with big issues next wee'k in their talks with British Ministers. The Dominions did not subscribe to the Locarno Treaty and it was imperatively necessary that Great Britain should know where the Dominions stood. "I pray Heaven the Dominions may yet prevail upon Great Britain to cease meddling in Continental quarrels and to repudiate the Treaty of Locarno. Only in that way can the Empire be kept out of the next war."
