The conference held at Palmerston North between representatives of the North Island Association of Freezing Works Industrial Unions aiuP representatives of the Association of Freezing Works Owners has resulted in an offer by the employers of an increase in wages ranging from 5 per cent, to 10 per cent. 'The offer involves an increase 0.. the minimum wage in the industry from Is Del to Is lid. The executive of the men's association is recommending to all affiliated unions acceptance of the employers' offer, and if accepted it will be embodied in an award dating from Julj 1,
