NEW WHARF FOR NAPIER

TENDER ACCEPTED (»BB3S ABSOCIATXO* TELSOIUH.* NAPIER, May 4. The Harbour Board to-day accepted the tender of F. Goodman, of Gisborne, of £62,772 for the construction of a wharf at the breakwater for ocean vessels.

HOMEWARD LOADINGS

NINE SHIPS ALLOTTED

The following ships have been allotted to load in New Zealand during May and June:— Commonwealth and Dominion Line The Port Sydney is due at New Plymouth on May 13 from Liverpool. She is then to go to Auckland, Napier, and Wellington, and is to leave Wellington on May 30 for London, via «Jape Horn. The Port Darwin is due at Port Chalmers from Australia to load on May IC. From there she will go to Lyttelton, Wanganui, Wellington, Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland. She is to leave Auckland finally on June 5 for New York, Southampton, and London, via Panama. Federal Line The Federal Company advises that the Kent, at present at Auckland, is to load at Opua, Gisborne, Napier, Wellington, and Wanganui. She leaves Wanganui on May 22 for London. Avonmouth, Liverpool, and Glasgow. The Durham is to load at Bluff on Mav 27, Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, Wellington, and New Plymouth. She is to leave New Plymouth on June 19 for London (due July 22), Avonmouth, Liverpool, Manchester, and Glasgow.

Blue Star Line The Blue Star Line advises that the Napier Star, which left London in ballast on April 20, is due at Bluff on May 26 to load, thence Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. She sails finally from Auckland on June 14 for London, where she is clue about July 23 via Cape Horn. Shaw, Savill, and Albion Line The Mahia, which left Lyttelton on Saturday to complete discharge at Dunedin and Timaru, is to load at Timaru, Oamaru, Port Chalmers, Wellington, and Auckland. . She is to leave Auckland on May 25 for Southampton and London, via Panama and Kingston. Th" Mahana is due at limaru on May 14 to load, and completes at Lyttelton, New Plymouth. Auckland and Wellington. She sails from Wellington at daybreak on June 5 or London and West Coast ports of the United Kingdom, via Montevideo and lenei iffe.

New Zealand Shipping Company The New Zealand Shipping ComDanv advises that the Hurunui is to commence loading during discharge at Dunedin, and completes at Timaru, Lytteltor., Waikokopu, Wellington, and Wanganui. She sails finally from Wanganui about .June 2 lor London, via Cape Horn, and is due at London July 19. . The Remuera is to commence load mf at Auckland during discharge on Mav 22, thence Gisborne, 'lokomaru Bav and Wellington (due June I). BREEZE SEEKS SHELTER The motor-ship Breeze, which left Wellington on Saturday afternoon for Duncdin, was unable to pass Banks Peninsula owing to the severity of the south-west gale, and put in to Lyttelton early this morning tor shelter.
