Johnston (Tennyson Street Company); I. Ayson (St. Andrew's Company). The poultry farmer badge was gained by M. Tabner and B. Florance (Burwood Company) M. Chapman (Burwood Company) has gained the gymnast's badge. The following guides have gained the cook's badge through their schools:--J. Kersley, M. Watson (Merivale Company); G. Hodge, N. Wroth, M. Shilstone, P. Christensen (New Brighton Company); N. Pope (Linwood Company. The following guides, belonging to Colombo Street Baptist Company, passed the child nurse examination:— D. Milligan, P. Milligan, F. Calvert (senior), S. Scott, V. Scott. The St. Peter's Brownie Pack held their first birthday party on Saturday, April 27. The afternoon was spent with games and treasure hunt. Those present included Mrs "Livingstone (District Commissioner), the Rev. H. T. York and Mrs York, parents, and friends. At afternoon tea, Mrs Livingstone cut the birthday cake which was decorated with the company colours, and had one kewpie dressed as a brownie on top. Later, Mrs Livingstone presented five brownies with service stars. The afternoon ended with brownie taps. The test for cook's badge for rangers and guides who do not attend cookery classes has not been arranged yet, and will not be held until after the holidays. Notice of time and date will appear as soon as arrangements have been made. All guiders attending training week, to be held at 265 Riccarton road, Riccarton, from May 14 to 21, are asked to note the ?oUowing:~Full-time trainees from a distance, who find it| more convenient to arrive on the after-, noon or evening of Monday, May 13, may do so. All guiders must be in attendance at 1.0 a.m. on Tuesday. Those guiders who wish to attend the evening sessions will see the evening programmes in this column next Saturday, May 11. The fee of Is will be collected at each evening session. The revels which were held in the St. John Ambulance roosens last Satur-
day afternoon proved a success. There was a splendid attendance of brownies, and their work was of a very high standard. Trinity and Durham Street Packs tied for first place, and the Cashmere Pack was only two marks behind, The judges were Miss Bromley Cocks (Provincial Commissioner), Mrs J. P. Cracroft Wilson, Mrs Livingstone, and Miss Morten (District Commissioners).
