ROTARY'S FOUNDER
Mil PAUL HARRIS IMPRESSED BY THE SOUTH [THE PEESS Special Service.] DUNEDIN, April 23. Before his departure from Dunedin this morning Mr Paul Harris, the founder of Rotary, said:— "It is the first visit that Mrs Harris and myself have paid to New Zealand. When setting out for your Dominion, we were assured that we should like the people and the country, and the assurances thus received* have been fully justified by what we have seen. We have just driven through Southland, and en route we saw one of the most charming and interesting agricultural districts we have ever traversed anywhere. That is not the only scene that evoked our admiration. Wherever we have gone, we have been in beautiful scenery. You have a country that must send an artist almost crazy to depict, and it is not merely beautiful, but a country that cannot fail to be a good one to live in and be happy in."
