RELIEF WORKERS' DEPENDENTS
• + UNEMPLOYED CHILDREN UNDER 20 NOW INCLUDED Unemployed children of relief workers between the ages of 16 and 20 years will be classed as dependents under the latest circular, U.B. 0/8/9, which has just been issued by the Commissioner of Unemployment, Mr G. C. Godfrey. Previously, unless mentally or physically incapable or still attending school, children under 16 years only, if unemployed, were classified as dependents in the case of relief workers. The following is the text of the circular:— "The definition of dependents has been extended by the Unemployment Board to include children between the ages of 16 and 20 years, who are unemployed, and who are living with and being maintained wholly or mainly by an applicant for unemployment relief." All those who have dependent 9hildreri as outlined should apply for reclassification at the Government Unemployment Bureau where they are registered.
