PUBLIC MEETING A public meeting to arrange suitable celebrations in Lytteltor. of the King's silver jubilee will be held in the council chambers this evening at 7.30 o'clock. Swimming Club Dance The annual dance .of the Lyueiton Men's Amateur Swimming Club, held in the Excelsior Hall on Saturday evening, attracted a large attendance. Music was supplied by the HerdmanFisk orchestra, and novelty dances were held. Golf An eclectic match played at Diamond Harbour on Saturday afternoon was won by T. Mahar with 33 net. J. Austad and T. Archer, each with 35 net, were the runners-up. G. Cooper, with 73 net, was the. winner of a medal match played yesterday. W. C. Cleary and J. J. Gower, each with 75 net, were the runners-up. A women's medal match played yesterday was won by Mrs L. Blewett, 112—34—78. On account of the holidays there wi.'. be no women's Thursday match at Diamond Harbour until May 2. Medal matches were played at Charteris Bay yesterday, the links being very much improved after the recent rains. The results were as folloA-s:— Senior—H. Fletcher, 89—20—69; F. H.
