HORTICULTURAL SHOW, ORIGINAL DATES ADHEREB TO (SFBCIiX CO THZ PRESS.] NELSON, March 29. Last evening, before the general meeting of the Nelson Horticultural Society, a meeting of the chrysanthemum club was held to consider the dates for next month's show fixture. As there are indications that a number of growers will be late with their blooms, it was suggested that the show dates originally set down for April 17 and 18 should be put back a week. After a full discussion, with Mr W Cannington in the chair, it was cided that the original dates should be adhered to. The following officers of the club were elected:—President, Mr j Hockey; vice-presidents, Messrs R* Branford, and P. Webley; secretary Mr C. Kennedy; judges, open classes"Mr E. S. Merrick; novice classes, Mr W Cannington. The meeting of the horticultural society passed resolutions in accordance with the wishes of the club for the show. Mr G. F. Dodds was appointed judge for ferns and pot plants, and Mrs Rudman, of decorative exhibits.
