WOMEN'S DIVISION OF FARMERS' UNION

♦ BELFAST BRANCH The monthly meeting of the Belfast branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers* Union was held on Thursday afternoon in the library. Mrs W. Guthrie presided over a good attendance, and welcomed one new member. An invitation was received from the Styx-Harewood branch to attend a picnic to be held in the botanic gardens on February 23, Competitions resulted:—Vase of flowers, Mesdames J Crawford 1, T. Morton 2; best darn, Mrs E. Harris 1, Mrs R. S. Halligan 2 It was announced that at the next meeting the roll call would be for the best joke, and the competitions for a sponge sandwich, and a single bloom. An interesting talk was given by Mrs Vaughan, and afternoon tea was served by Mesdames R. Arnold, R. Erickson, J. Grimley, R. S. Halligan, and E. Miller.
