VIRTUAL SETTLEMENT DECISION TO ABIDE BY M.C.C. RULES LONDON, February 4. The Notts Mediatory Committee met privately at Trent Bridge and unanimously decided that "the definite policy of all parties is to keep and abide by the rules laid down by the Marylebone Cricket Club both in letter and spirit." All imputations against Dr. Gould were withdrawn, and the resolution is interpreted as a virtual settlement of the dispute. The meeting, which lasted from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., has thus prepared the way for the annual meeting in March, when the new committee will be elected. Meanwhile, at the request of five first-class counties, the Advisory Cricket Committee will meet at Lord's on February 26 to consider matters arising at Nottingham.
