MELBOURNE TIMBER YARD BURNED
❖ MELBOURNE, February 5. Fire, accompanied by a series of explosions of oil and petrol drums, which sent flames leaping high into the air, destroyed the timber yard of McPherson and Lawrie, at Middle Brighton. The damage to the mill and stacks is estimated at £30,000.
