STAFF ALTERATIONS

- SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN CHRISTCHURCH Ten staff alterations in the schools controlled by the Canterbury University College Council were made at » meeting of the council yesterday. The following recommendations of the high schools and hostels appointments sub-committee were adopted:— That Miss L. A. Hurle, at present holding a B grade position on the staff of the Christchurch Girls' High School, be appointed to an A grade position vice Miss M. Sims, as from March 1, 1935; That Miss P. Beggs, at present holding a C grade position on the staff, be appointed to a B grade position vice Miss Hurle, as from March 1, 3935; that Miss G. J. *Batchelor, at present holding a D grade position on the staff, be appointed to a C grade position vice Miss Beggs, as from March 1, 1935; that Miss B. A. Waller, at present relieving vice Miss J. Harris. at the Christchurch Girls' High School, be appointed to a permanent D grade position vice Miss Batchelor, as from March 1, 1935; that Miss M. Armstrong be appointed to a relieving D grade position vice Mrs W. E. Thomson, as from the beginning of the first term, 1935, for the period of Mrs Thomson's leave; that Miss V. de Berry be appointed to a relieving D grade position at the Christchurch Girls' High School, vice Miss Milnes on leave, as from March 25, 1935, for balance of the school year; that, as Miss Nancy Burley is not able to accept the relieving D grade position at the Avonside Girls' High School, vice Miss Ross, Miss Phyllis Jackson be appointed in her stead; that Mr J F Moffat, at present holding a C grade position at the Christchurch Boys' High School, be appointed to a B Krade position vice Mr R.
