SATURDAY (Before Mr H. A. Young, S.M., and Mrs T. Green, J.P.) CYCLING ON FOOTPATH A young boy for cycling on the footpath was fined Is. For a similar offence a girl was admonished and discharged. CYCLING WITHOUT LIGHT For cycling at night without a light in St. Albans street, a young boy was fined Is. For a similar offence another boy was fined 2s. ON ENCLOSED PREMISES A boy, who was charged with being found on enclosed premises without lawful excuse, was admonished and discharged. THEFT OF MONEY A boy, aged 13 years, was placed under the supervision of the Child Welfare Officer for 12 months for thefts of two sums of money totalling 12s. RAN AWAY FROM HOME A young boy, who failed to appear, and who, the Child Welfare Officer explained, had run away to Wellington after being interviewed by the police, was charged with breaking and entering and stealing £1 8s 6d in money. It was stated that the boy had gone off to Wellington, where he was being charged with the unlawful conversion of cars. The charge in Christchurch was adjourned.
