I "Ever since I arrived in New Zealand I have been trying to buy a picture-postcard of a kiwi, to send to a grandchild of mine in England, but there seem to be none on sale,"' said Sir Henry Fowler, the eminent English engineer, in conversation in Auckland last week. "As a matter of fact, I did get one," he added. "I happened to tell a lady in the south about my search. She left me and after a hunt brought back a card which she said she had had for'many years. On examining it, I saw the inscription, 'Made in Germany.' Evidently it dated back before the war." Sir Henry said he was going on with the search. If it failed, he would get a new Dominion florin, with a representation of a kiwi, and have it mounted as a brooch for his grandchild.
