CRICKETER CHARGED WITH MANSLAUGHTER
SEQUEL TO COLLISION LONDON, January 18. After the death in hospital of Denis Moysey, 19, one of two youths on a motor-cycle with which the car of the Northampton cricketer, V. W. C. Jupp, collided on January 12, Jupp was charged with manslaughter. He was not present in the court, a doctor stating that he was suffering from concussion and multiple injuries causing insomina and nocturnal delirium, necessitating soporific drugging. Prosecuting counsel said police officers visited Jupp and found him normal. They regarded the doctor's evidence as unsatisfactory. The case was adjourned until January 22.
