HOLIDAY ARRA N(; EM ENTS During (he next 10 days the Christmas and New Year closing times will bo as follows:-To-night shops will observe a late night for Christmas Eve, closing at 10 o'clock, not to reopen until .Thursday. December 27. On the following Friday evening there will be no late night, and shops will close at 5.30 p.m. On Saturday the usual hours will be observed. New Year's Eve will not be a late night for retail houses, which will close at 5.30, so as to ensure an early start for employees who wish to spend New Year's Day and January 2 out of town. On January 3 retail houses will reopen as usual after the holidays.
