LORD AND LADY GALWAY

APPRECIATION IN THEIU COUNTY (FROM oua own CORRESPONDENT.) LONDON. November 15. Nowhere (says the "Doncaster Chronicle") will the departure of Lord and Lady Galway for New Zealand be felt more greatly than at Harworth and Bircotes, where Lady Galway, especially, has played an active part. She was one of the vice-presidents whose activities led to the formation of the nursing division attached to the St. John Ambulance Brigade at Harworth Colliery, and she still holds office. She is the president of the Women's Unionist Association, too, which, if it doesn't come actually within the Doncaster area, has the same end and objects in view. At the Bircotes Institute there were plenty of evidences of Harworth's goodwill towards Lord and Lady Galway, who were present at the annual whist drive and dance of the Cycling Club. Lady Galway presented the prizes and club trophies, and Lord Galway spoke of the many kind wishes with which they were leaving the district. On Armistice Day Lord Galway took charge of the services at Harworth Church, and the villagers were very proud of this.
