ACCIDENTS

* FRACTURED LEG Miss F. I. Mackie, of Wilson street, Islington, was thrown from her bicycle when it was struck by a motor-car about 9 o'clock last evening on the Main South road between Hornby and Islington. She was taken to the Hospital by the St. John Free Ambulance, •vas was admitted shortly after 11 p.m. suffering from a fractured leg. Her condition last evening was stated to be satisfactory. DEATH UNDER ANAESTHETIC John Allen Adamson, a paperhanger and a married man, residing at Grafton street, Linwood, died in the Christchurch Hospital about 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon, while under an anaesthetic. Adamson was in the operating theatre when his death occurred. An inquest will be held this morning.
