* —— GREYMOUTH PERSONAL (SPECIAL TO THE TRESS.) GREYMOUTH, November 28. The Bishop of Nelson, the Rt. Rev. W. G. Hilliard, will arrive in Greymouth on Saturday evening on his first visit to the West Coast. He will preach at Holy Trinity Church, Greymouth, on Sunday, and on Monday evening will be tendered a civic reception by the Mayor, Mr J. W. Greenleave, returned yesterday to Welhnfc, J. S. Robertson, D. Tcnncnt. j W. Callwell, G. Trippner, 1. H. Chapman, R. Applelon, and C. H. Guthrie- left yesterday for Chi si church to attend a meeting of the West Coast Sawmiliers' Federation at Christchurch. , Mr A. H. Carey, manager of the Bank of New Zealand at Greyinouth for the last nine years, and who win retire to-morrow on superannuation, was met yesterday afternoon by members of the staff and presented with an oak clock. Occasion was also taken to welcome Mr Carey's successor, Mr A. N. Baker, of Hokitika. Dunollie Whippet Cltob At the annual meeting of the Dunollie Whippet Club the election of officers resulted: —President, Mr F. Heslin; vice-president, Mr W. Robson; secretary-treasurer, Mr A. O. Warwick; handicapper, Mr W. O'Neill; judge, Mr W. Brown; starter, Mr S. Pimm; assistant starter, Mr F. Heslintimekeeper, Mr W. Robson; colour steward, Mr G. Kendrick; gatekeepers, Messrs S. Symmers and W. Armstrong; track stewards, Messrs W. Pattinson and V. Sweeney; weigh steward, Mr J. McPhee; identification stewards, Messrs S. Pinn and J. McPhee; protest committee, Messrs Warwick, Brown, and Robson; committee, Messrs Kendrick, McPhee, Symmers, Sweeney. O'Neill, Pattinson, and Hillhouse. Miss Brown and Mr J. Falcon, of Christchurch, have presented the club with a miniature cup to be competed for at the trophy meeting on December 16. Cricket At the fortnightly meeting of the West Coast Cricket Association Mr F. H. Denton presided. It was decided to request the Canterbury Association to furnish information regarding affiliation with them. The secretary was instructed to ask the Canterbury Association for a game at Christmas or New Year at Greymouth.
