GERMAN SHEEP FARMING
+ GOVERNMENT ENCOURAGEMENT (Received November 16, 8.40 p.m.) BERLIN, November 16. To encourage the breeding of sheep for wool, the railways are reducing the freight charges for wool shorn from German sheep by 25 per cent. A Government department will control distribution. The government is urging the people to eat more mutton, the price of which will be controlled. Official trade statistics for October show an export balance of approximately £1,000,000 for the first time since March.
